The delicious:
- an incredible homemade dinner (including FOUR types of dumplings) to celebrate the end of Lunar New Year
- an Italian-ish Galentine’s dinner featuring a bacon-y bucatini amatriciana and my first attempt at balling a melon
- this baked pasta from Smitten Kitchen; I always make at least 1.5x the base recipe so I can have leftovers
The bright spots:
- the anticipation of vacation
- introducing friends to foods you love (in this case, hotpot!)
- reuniting with old friends
- visiting The Athenæum; if you’re ever in Providence and you love books, go there
Entertainment:
- I finally watched Everything Everywhere All At Once and I’m so glad I did
- R.F. Kuang’s Babel is devastating and beautiful; I love the idea of making magic out of language
